Amethyst

Amethyst is a purple coloured quartz.  It is a great 'all round' stone.  Thought to strengthen the endocrinal and immune systems, cleanse the blood and energise the body, it is a calming stone, which helps reduce stress, promotes sleep and sooths headaches.  It is a very powerful aid for spiritual enhancement, it aids meditation, and inspires healing and intuition.  It is the offical birthstone for the month of February and for the zodiac sign of Pisces.  A fantastic overall healing stone, Amethyst works best with the Crown Chakra.
